“Surrounding™ Kentucky- Select Essays”

I am very pleased to announce the publication of, “Surrounding™ Kentucky-Select Essays,” the second volume of my “Surrounding™ Series,”  (the first volume is entitled “Surrounding™ Mammoth Cave” and was published last spring). This volume addresses my inquiries into the Science, Culture and History of various locations in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  On this factual journey, I investigate the strength of horses in the Bluegrass region, the Civil War in Munfordville, the Green River mussel community, Brandenburg, Brownsville, Glasgow, Hodgenville, Gravel Switch and Penn’s Store, Carrollton, the Port Royal of Wendell Berry, Irvine and Ravenna, Bybee Master Potters, Franklinville, Livingston and the Rockcastle River, and the Great Saltpetre Cave. Each essay has accompanying artwork by Steve Eilers! All of my books are available on http://www.vanstockum.blog
