Pottinger’s Landing, New Haven, Kentucky!

Reggie Van Stockum with Phil Johnson on the Rolling Fork River at New Haven, Kentucky, the location of Pottinger’s Landing, where a new Catholic community, which migrated to central Kentucky in the late 1700s, loaded their goods on flat boats headed to New Orleans. Whiskey, Lard and Ham were valuable commodities back then, if you could get them to a hungry and thirsty population. And the storehouse here was originally called the “Big Meat Cabin!”
