Great podcast — I don’t remember the pro-war signs at Prep, but I distinctly remember that night of the first draft. But I couldn’t bear to watch the draft, going to a basketball game instead. On walking up the hill to my high-rise dorm, I saw windows breaking as male students threw their TV sets out the window upon getting the low number that they thought was a death sentence. For too many, it was. Seared into my memory. I was fortunate with the draft number 353.
