The sandy spit of land that rises to honor the mixing of two water bodies. The North and Middle Forks of the Kentucky River just upstream from Beattyville where they will join the South Fork to form a mighty river that gave its name to a Commonwealth. Hard to reach! Canoeing with John Graham on September 8, 2021. Putting in at the bridge at Airedale and taking out on the Beattyville ramp.

September 12, 2021 at 12:13 pmReggie – been a long time. Glad to be on your list. I am retired and spending about 1/2 my time on the family farm in McLean country doing a lot of conservation projects. Getting ready for the first prescribed burn on my 23 yo native grass stand – the first in the county. Serving on the state nature conservancy board – who’s work is dear to my heart. We’ll need to catch up sometime. Best, Allen
