Kinishba, hidden for more than a thousand years before you came towards it!

More than 1,000 years ago? Was this ancestral pueblo settled even before the Peublos of Zuni and the Hopi village of Oraibi rose to prominence? The Kinishba ruins  lie on the White Mountain Apache Indian Lands just south of the Mogollon Rim in South Central Arizona. Just beyond Pinetop-Lakeside and near Whiteriver.

Is that an early ceremonial Kiva in the central courtyard? Walk with me into your imagination and you will see.
