Brigadier General Ronald R. Van Stockum, USMC (deceased) was born in Cambridgeshire, England in 1916. He lost his father a week before his birth at the Battle of the Somme. During his 105 years, he wrote hundreds of columns, which were published in the Sentinel-News in Shelbyville, Kentucky, as well as several books.
